What is ‘PARTNER’?
PARTNER
The Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) and its commercial bank members are pleased to announce the launch of a series of initiatives towards enhancing banking efficiency and customer services under the banner called “PARTNER”.

- Draft a business plan
- Identify the business you are interested to venture in
- Identify your skills & expertise in the business
- Identify source of funds such as start- up capital, future cash flows etc
- Select a business name
- Choose a business location
- Register your business with Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM)
- Identify distribution patterns
- Outline the company’s vision
- Keep track of finances
- Hire & manage employees
- Leverage on Information Technology (IT)
- Keep yourself posted with current market / industry news and competitors updates
- Draw your business strategy & plannings
Two criteria used in determining the SME definition,
(i) Business with sales turnover OR
(ii) number of full-time employees
The definition covers all sectors, namely services, manufacturing, agriculture, construction and mining and quarrying.
Manufacturing Sector: Sales turnover not exceeding RM50 million OR full-time employees not exceeding 200 workers
Services and Other Sectors: Sales turnover not exceeding RM20 million OR full-time employees not exceeding75 workers
